What 3 words would you use to describe working at DAA?

Ever-changing, variety, growth

Favorite thing about working at DAA?

Flexibility and company values

In your experience here, is there a project that really stands out?

The creation of the Wiki with the DOD’s environmental research program, ESTCP, has been an adventure to say the least! We were all out of our comfort zone, creating a website, managing academic authors and facilitating multiple stages of editorial reviews for each of the 60 articles that were created, but we managed to figure it out and produce what we hope is a helpful tool for the environmental industry.

Favorite quote or words of wisdom?

“No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man.” -Heraclitus

What TV show, movie, or book are you obsessed with right now?

My yoga books! I am in the middle of a 10-month, 200hr Yoga Teacher Training certification course and the reading is extensive!

Have you been on a recent vacation or trip that you loved?

My most recent trip was to Florida for a cousin’s wedding but we made sure to make time for non-wedding fun while we were there too (see parasailing photo)! My favorite trip, however, was my husband and I’s trip to Italy in 2015. We traveled to Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii, Naples and Rome. We walked an average of 15 miles a day and I’m convinced that I ate my weight in seafood, pasta and red wine. It was absolutely amazing!

What was the first concert you ever attended?

O-Town (showing both my age and my ‘great’ taste in 90’s-2000s boy bands)

Favorite sports team?

Anything Pittsburgh (Steelers, Pens and Buccos); my family (see photo) is from there and being a sports fan in Pittsburgh is more of a cultural requirement than anything else. You’re born into black and gold!

Is there something you do or like that would surprise people?

I was honored to marry two of my best friends a few months ago.
