Draper Aden Associates provided planning, design and related services for a new 375-space parking facility on Smithfield Road. This project was designed following Low Impact Development principles, including preservation of existing trees and a design of a bioretention filter to treat stormwater runoff. Our scope of services included verification and update of existing base mapping, bidding and contract documents, including design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, VADCR submittal and coordination with Virginia Tech for lighting and landscaping (designs not included); and bidding assistance. Construction phase services were also provided.
