Draper Aden Associates assisted in the selection of a 585-acre site and D completed the hydrogeologic investigation, design and permitting of the Subtitle D facility. Both Part A and Part B Applications for a Subtitle D landfill were submitted and approved. The facility was designed to serve the County for the next 40 years, and can be expanded beyond this time frame.

The initial six-acre cell of the facility was constructed, along with ancillary features, including a waste transfer/screening area, leachate management, and public use and recycling areas. Draper Aden Associates provided QA/QC services and a detailed subsurface evaluation and exploration to identify for landfill liner and cap construction purposes. A landfill gas extraction system was designed and installed at the former County facility, to correct off-site migration
