Soil Testing Laboratory

Draper Aden Associates maintains a modern, fully equipped soil-testing laboratory that is equipped to provide:

Index tests
Classification tests (Atterberg limits, moisture content, gain size analysis, specific gravity, and unconfined strength)
Geotechnical tests (rmolded and undisturbed, permeability, consolidation, California bearing ratio, triaxial, and unconfined strength)
Concrete and asphalt tests (beams, cylinders, cubes, mix design, and coring)

The laboratory staff is fully trained on testing procedures and the use and maintenance of testing equipment. Staff certifications include OSHA training. In addition, Draper Aden Associates has implemented a formal Quality Assurance / Quality Control program, which encompasses equipment inventory, calibration and maintenance.

Our laboratory is certified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to perform soils tests, and the laboratory adheres to the testing procedures of ASTM, USACOE, EPA and AASHTO.

Soil Evaluation Services

Draper Aden Associates has a team of professionals with experience in alternative wastewater treatment design and soil science. This team is comprised of a Certified Professional Soil Scientist, an Authorized Onsite Soil Evaluator, and a Professional Engineer that is a Class I Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. They offer a combined knowledge of the available technologies for on-site treatment and successful experience providing these solutions to clients across Virginia including commercial, residential, and industrial sites.
